Our client a large Charity organisation is looking for an experienced Accounts Officer to work within their large finance department. They are looking for an individual who is a minimum of AAT Level 3 qualified, with a experience of Management Accounts, Account Reports, Financial reporting, integrating data and Bank Reconciliation Main Purpose: To provide day to day professional services to support the efficient and effective management of client funds Responsibilities of Job: To undertake responsibility for meeting all contract reporting obligations for up to 15 different commissioning funders, including producing monthly reports and quarterly returns on: Surplus accounts Deficit accounts Held and disputed invoices Balances Inactive accounts Ceased and deceased accounts To undertake reconciliations of all client funds in terms of both individual accounts and overall incoming/outcoming client fund monies, in line with each contract To ensure timely returns of agreed surplus monies and monies from ceased/deceased accounts To provide relevant information on client fund management to Purple's Account Managers ensuring submission of accurate and timely information to commissioners To identify, interrogate and resolve any anomalies in a timely fashion regularly updating and reporting to necessary stakeholders To prepare Purchase Order invoices to all commissioning authorities reflecting both the block and spot nature of the contracts To provide reports on client funds to Purple's senior management team and Board of Directors as requested Person Specification: Essential A recognised financial accountancy qualification (AAT Level 3 minimum) Experience of working within a financial reporting role Experience of undertaking complex account reconciliations A proven track record of managing volumes of accounts with complexity Excellent influencing, negotiation and communication sills Experience of implementing robust financial controls Experience of analysing complex financial information to reach sound judgements and explaining the basis of those judgements Capable of analytical thinking and interrogation of data A high standard of computer literacy, particularly of Microsoft Excel Desirable Good working knowledge of SAGE accountancy packages Experience of working within an organsation commissioned by public sector organisations, with knowledge of the related financial reporting requirements Benefits include: 25 days holiday plus the 8 bank holidays as standard. Employer pension contribution is 3%.
