Senior Accounts Assistant - Global Business - Up to £27,000 per annum - Based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire

Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a leading and international technology consultancy based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire to recruit for a dynamic and hands-on Senior Accounts Assistant. A great opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation, reporting into the Management Accountant/Financial Controller in a varied and fast paced permanent position. You will join a highly motivated and engaged team, the role will involve duties including the preparation of management accounts for the UK and US entity, monthly bank reconciliations, payroll processing and the upkeep of the company's prepayments along with transactional duties.

Your new role

You will be involved in the preparation of Management Accounts for the US entity, timely and accurate accounts payable data input into SAP, monthly bank reconciliations and follow up on un-reconciled items. You will upkeep of the firm's prepayments and accruals through monthly reconciling schedules, maintenance of fixed assets registers, multi-currency payments along with weekly reconciliations of time sheet ledgers. You will manage the internal UK payroll processing and pension auto-enrolment, general finance administration and ad-hoc assistance with the monthly accounts close of the UK and US trading entities advised by the Financial Controller and Management Accountant.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this permanent Senior Accounts Assistant role you will be AAT qualified, studying for AAT or qualified by experience with experience within a similar finance role. You need working knowledge of accounting/bookkeeping systems along with MS Excel skills and be able to work towards time-constraint deadlines. You will be organised and accurate with key communication skills to build internal/external relationships. Experience with UK payroll processing and Sage 50 systems would be advantageous but not essential.
