Description

Reports to: Head of PMO and Reporting

Direct Reports: PMO Coordinator

  • Lead the three-year costed corporate planning process and annual business planning process

  • Liaise with key stakeholders, including members of the Executive Management Team

  • Work with Corporate Projects to ensure resource requirements for project and programme activity are accurately reflected in the annual business plan and corporate plan, and work with Finance ensuring activity is costed and reflected in annual budget

  • Advise project and programme managers and other stakeholders on the development of project plans

  • Develop standard tools, templates and guidance for project and programme

  • Develop portfolio level strategic planning tools

  • Oversee portfolio analysis of the entire set of business plan initiatives

Profile

* Experience of leading an annual business planning process from the identification of potential initiatives through to the sign off of the final business plan

* Experience of overseeing monitoring and reporting arrangements for a major portfolio of work

* Experience of project management processes and of advising stakeholders on planning and development

* Good awareness of standard project tools

* Demonstrable ability to produce and present complex information as understandable plans and reports to various audiences

Desirable:

* PRINCE2 Practitioner / P3O Practitioner

* Lean Six Sigma qualified or awareness of tools and techniques.

Job Offer

  • c. £45k salary
  • 35 hour working week
  • 25 holidays rising to 28 (+ bank holidays)
  • Good Pension
