Description

  • To develop a relevant and detailed timeline for the production of monthly management accounts ensuring that all relevant users are consulted, dates agreed and a monitoring mechanism developed to ensure successful implementation and delivery of outputs to strict deadlines.
  • Responsible for the collection of financial information from the designated areas for review and incorporation into the organisation's group accounts, cash flow forecasts and forward capital plans.
  • Responsible for financial management of expenditure ensuring projects are set up, correct budgets allocated and monitored on a monthly basis to inform cash flow management and monthly reporting.
  • Responsible for ensuring that capital asset information is available to enable results to be consolidated into the Consolidated Income & Expenditure statement and Balance Sheet on a regular basis.
  • Preparing financial appraisals for potential capital projects in line with the organisation's policies.
  • Undertaking financial post project appraisals.
  • Maintaining the 10 year capital programme plan.
  • Involvement in the preparation of the organisation's Financial Statements providing a review of year to year variances and investigating and undertaking further analytical work as required.
  • To assist the Financial Reporting Managers with the preparation of other statutory returns.
  • Profile

    • Qualified Accountant
    • Significant financial management or financial accounting experience gained at similar level.

    • Knowledge of current financial Accounting Standards and other statutory regulations and requirements for external reporting.

    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, incorporating creative thinking.

    • Ability to analyse data, making judgements and decisions, to ensure the correct accounting treatment.

    Job Offer

    • 37,000-42,000 depending on experience.
