Head of Finance Colchester, Essex Up to £56,000 per annum Full Time, Permanent This is an exciting opportunity for a Head of Finance to lead our finance team and help deliver Colchester Borough Home's ambitious agenda. As the Head of Finance, you will provide strategic financial advice to the Corporate Management Team, Chief Executive and Board to develop and deliver our financial and strategic plans. You will ensure business decisions are aligned with the overall Strategic Plan and work to enhance financial accountability and performance. Colchester Borough Homes is an Arms Length Management Organisation (ALMO) set up by Colchester Borough Council in 2003. We are an Investors in People Gold organisation, employing over 200 people, providing housing management and property services to around 7,000 residential, commercial and public buildings in the local area, including the Council's housing stock, Colchester Castle and Colchester Town Hall. We aim to be the trusted choice for local housing, property and community services. Colchester is a busy and vibrant Borough and is a fantastic place to live and work. You will lead the finance function and deliver outstanding, customer focused, accounting services that underpin decision making and enable the ongoing transformation of our financial and risk management. This role will also drive exceptional performance with innovation, demonstrating high quality leadership and management skills. You will be confident in dealing with a range of key stakeholders and be commercially astute. Whilst experience of working within housing is not essential, we would particularly welcome experience of delivering accounting services in a customer-focused service delivery context. Colchester Borough Homes offers a competitive salary, excellent benefits including a local government pension scheme and a wide range of flexible working arrangements.
