Working for the Group Financial Reporting Manager within a small head office finance team this role will provide support to the Chief Accountant and CFO. Two key aspects to the role (1) financial accounting, consolidation and reporting and (2) providing finance support for M&A activity.

• Assist the Group Financial Reporting Manager with review, consolidation of monthly data submissions from business units and monthly close process;

• M&A support and other corporate finance activity;

• Assist in the preparation of internal management reports and analysis;

• Assist with the preparation of the Annual Report and Accounts and the Interim Report;

• External audit contact;

• PLC accounts and UK subsidiary statutory accounts preparation;

• Consolidation adjustments and intra group eliminations;

• Provide accounting support to business units;

• Assist with technical accounting updates and new accounting standards

• Assume responsibility for Group financial statement reporting areas i.e. goodwill impairment testing;

• Assist in maintaining the financial control environment;

• Assist with Group Treasury activity and reporting;

• Financial modelling and analysis;

• Specific ad hoc projects as directed

• Exposure to senior management team and CFO

Profile

Qualifications and relevant experience:

• A qualified accountant;

• Able to demonstrate a high level of competency in spreadsheet skills and in analysing and preparing data and reports for senior management;

• Financial accounting and consolidation experience;

• M&A experience (ideally)

• Knowledge of IFRS and new UK GAAP
