Job Details

Working in a busy finance time where you will report directly into the head of client billings, you will be responsible for producing customer invoices to agreed terms in a timely manner and assist with chasing outstanding and overdue invoices. This role will suit someone who enjoys a challenge and looking for a role that offers a variety of day to day task.

Due to an internal promotion this has opened up the opportunity for a credit control and billings clerk to join their successful finance team in the city centre of Manchester.

Description

The duties of the credit control and billings clerk will include but not limited to:

  • Regular updates regarding overdue client billings and credit control
  • Liaising with project managers to ensure billings are raised in a timely manner and paid in a timely manner
  • Credit Control duties, chasing outstanding invoices and producing statements
  • Presenting information regarding billings & debtors to Head of Client Billings
  • Reconcile & reporting of inter company accounts
  • Manage/provide assistance in managing particular projects
  • Provide cover/assistance for Billings Administrator e.g. raising invoices, entering PO's
  • Regular review of supplier proforma invoices & chasing suppliers for final tax invoices

Profile

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Previous experience working in a similar role - Essential
  • Effective and professional communication skills - Essential
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise own workload within set deadlines - Essential
  • Proficient with the company's financial processes - Essential
  • Accuracy and strong attention to detail - Essential
  • Numeracy and commercial awareness - Essential
  • Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Sage - Essential
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team - Essential
  • Sage 200 - Essential

Job Offer

On offer for the successful candidate is a salary between £20,000 to £25,000 26 days holiday plus bank holidays + pension + life insurance + health insurance + dress down + career progression
