This role supports the Capital Investment Team within the Finance Department. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a strong track record consolidating financial information from a number of sources. You will hold the overall position on long term capital expenditure and capital funding plans for the organisation and feed this information confidently into the long term strategic planning cycles.

Client Details

This organisation comprises of 18 local authorities and three Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) working together to move powers from Whitehall to the West Midlands and its locally elected politicians, who know this region best.

Description

* Ensure that Capital Programme budgets are accurately recorded in the financial system.

* Maintain the long-term programme view on capital budgets and funding.

* Ensure that the capital funding entries are accurately posted to the ledger each month.

* Deliver financial support the organisation in the delivery of its capital Investment Programme.

* Ensure submission of robust financial proposals within agreed timescales.

* Draft monthly reports concerning Capital Programme progress.

* Draft the relevant sections of statutory capital returns for review.

  • Ensure that Capital Programme budgets are accurately recorded in the financial system.

* Maintain the long-term programme view on capital budgets and funding

* Ensure that the capital funding entries are accurately posted to the ledger each month.

* Draft reports to internal and external Board meetings for review by the Senior Transport Project Accountant

* Represent the Finance function and provide professional advice, support, challenge and provision of financial information in relation to the delivery of the allocated capital projects.

Profile

You will be a qualified accountant with a proven track record of consolidation financial information from capital investment projects, where there are complex multi-funding streams.
