Permanent Accounts Assistant based in Glenrothes, Salary £21,000 - £25,000 per annum + other benefits

Hays Accountancy & Finance are recruiting on behalf of their client for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join them on a permanent basis. Salary is £21,000 - £25,000 depending on experience + free daily lunch and free parking.

Your new role

You will be the main point of contact for customer and supplier accounts. You will be responsible for maintaining the sales ledger and purchase ledger including allocating payments, entering invoices, raising queries and making payments. You will produce reports and prepare VAT returns and EC Sales List. You will complete bank reconciliations, nominal ledgers and petty cash reconciliations. You will complete any other finance or administrative duties as required while always providing excellent service to the companies customers and suppliers.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be an experienced Finance Professional with strong experience within transactional accounting particularly with Purchase ledger and sales ledger. You will have the ability to work accurately to deadlines, possess strong computer skills and be able to build strong relationships with stakeholders, customers and suppliers. You will have skills in developing business processes and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
