Hays Senior Finance are exclusively partnered with a community care organisation in Edinburgh to recruit a Head of Finance. This opportunity is a newly created permanent role where the Head of finance will be responsible for the smooth running of the Scottish region. Our clients values are based heavily on people and culture and the Head of Finance will work alongside the operations team as well as supporting the wider strategy.

Your new role
The Head of Finance will report to the Operations Director and will form as part of the Senior management team. You will be responsible for the running of an 18 million turnover business with a view to grow with a further acquisition and leading a team of 3. The Head of Finance will provide critical insight into all aspects of financial performance of the business in order to deliver business objectives and will assist the Senior Management Team in the business planning & reporting cycle. The Head of finance will initially have a hands on approach overseeing the fixed asset and transactional processes in addition to management accounts, balancehseet and P&L management.

This opportunity is an exciting role offering significant exposure across improving BAU processes, new business acquisition and integration and development.

What you'll need to succeed
This role will suit a highly motivated, analytical and versatile team player, who possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You should also show ability to work successfully as part of a passionate and growing team; be proactive and show initiative. As a fully qualified accountant you will have strong technical experience as well as great communication skills.
