Our client is a leading UK Wealth Management business that has enjoyed exceptional growth in the past few years they are now seeking an experienced IFA New Business Manager based in their Bromsgrove offices. DESCRIPTION Position overview: To manage the New Business department through the development of team resources and the delivery of fit for purpose, complaint procedures, to ensure the provision of timely, efficient and accurate processing of new business and service propositions to support the effective mitigation of business risk.

Responsibilities:

• Take responsibility for the overall management of the New Business team, providing supervision, help, and guidance to all Supervisors and members of the team and working with all Supervisors to achieve departmental standards and goals.
• Oversight of the maintenance of all administration systems, ensuring that all team members maintain accurate and up to date client information including checking scanned documentation.
• Develop a culture of getting work right the first time by creating a flexible audit process to identify areas of concern which needs to be monitored
• Monitoring of departmental MI, ensuring that all workflow is completed in line with company SLA's
• Analyse the MI from advisers workflow to have an understanding of projected resource issues due to planned acquisitions and new recruits
• Oversee the management of the IFA's pipeline of new business within agreed SLA's
• Ensure new business files are compliant with FCA and company guidelines - liaising with the Compliance department where necessary
• Ensure all information uploaded to back-office systems is accurate, with particular attention to fee and payaway details, including Rebroking
• Work with the Supervisors, New Business team members' and other departments within the organisation to identify any process improvements and improve standards and efficiency.
• Promote and encourage a positive work environment and attitude amongst team members, ensuring co-operation, efficiency and outstanding service at all times.
• Carry out appraisals and set SMART objectives for Supervisors, ensuring any training requirements/development needs are set to achieve business requirements whilst also ensuring their personal development and competency within their roles
• Identify and implement plans for own training and development needs.
• Identify and implement plans for Supervisor's / Administrators' development needs
• As necessary, conduct recruitment and return to work interviews and work with the HR Department in relation to any disciplinary, grievance and absence management issues.
• Motivate the New Business team through positive feedback when good feedback is received.
• Any other reasonable request made by a Departmental Head/Chief Executive of the business REQUIREMENTS
• Ideally 3 years' experience within a similar role
• Must have a keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail
• Effective organisational and planning skills
• Able to work to deadlines
• Experienced using Microsoft Word and Excel
• Delivery focused, with a drive for quality throughout
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Willing to learn and develop
• Able to work as part of a team, or if required, under own initiative
