I am currently working with a well-established organisation to recruit for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join them on a permanent basis. The role is an exciting opportunity to join a commercial business during a period of change and expansion. The company are market leading in their field and can offer the right candidate a great amount of exposure to develop their career within finance. As the Assistant Accountant you will be responsible for assisting the Management Accounts team with producing timely and accurate management information, supporting month end and year end processes, accruals and prepayments, variance analysis and commentaries across the group. Additionally responsibilities will include preparing balance sheet reconciliations, liaising with Accounts Payable to track costs, ensuring tight control of financial transactions, communicating effectively with other areas of the business to ensure timely receipt of information and assisting with training of administrative staff. The ideal candidate will be ACCA or CIMA part-qualified, although qualified by experience candidates will also be considered. It is important to be a self-starter with strong organisational skills and at least intermediate Excel knowledge (including V Lookups and Pivot Tables). You will be a team player, able to work closely with senior management. In return the company can offer a fantastic working environment and an opportunity to gain great exposure to management accounts duties, enabling a driven individual to progress their career. A competitive salary and benefits package is on offer, alongside study support and a great leadership team to learn from. Please note that for an initial period (approximately 3 months) the successful candidate should be prepared to travel into London at least 3 days per week.
