Altro are currently recruiting for an Assistant Credit Controller to join our friendly Finance team here in Letchworth Garden City . The positon will be working full time, Monday - Friday on a permanent basis. The credit control team performs an important role in the larger customer facing teams for both Altro and Autoglym, working efficiently and effectively to help deliver the Group objectives. Working collaboratively with internal and external sales, liaising with customers and our credit insurer and credit insurance broker, to deliver World Class customer service in all aspects of the role and to assist the Group in managing credit risk. As an Assistant Credit Controller, your main responsibility will include: To establish and maintain excellent communication and working relationships with internal and external customers To deal with queries and potential problems/issues sensitively and assertively Daily credit control related activities including : Opening new customer accounts Logging of customer queries Raising sundry invoices Copy invoices and PODs Progressing disallowed discount issues Maintenance / periodic cleansing of the JDE address book and customer master records Customer statements Routine credit control responsibilities for a small ledger of customers Direct debit processing Credit insurance compliance including : Application for credit limits Periodic audits of credit insurance information Who are Altro? Credit controller experience Minimum GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in Maths and English Understanding of credit insurance - desirable Excellent Communication skills at all levels Strong IT skills, including MS Word and Excel Eye for detail Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines If you would describe yourself as self-motivated and enthusiastic, then we would love to hear from you
