At we pride ourselves on progression and development of our staff and many of our staff at Head Office have joined us from other areas of the business and have been here for a number of years. In the current retail world that's quite unique and we invite you to be a part of it. We are currently searching for a Junior Business Analyst to join our existing team in Shirebrook Head Office. You will be part of a dynamic team working at the hub of the business supporting high-level strategic decision making. In addition to supporting Sports Direct from Shirebrook, on occasion you may be required to travel to our office in London to meet with and provide analysis for other businesses in the Sports Direct Group such as Flannels, USC and House of Fraser. Key Aspects of the Role : Data analysis Business partnering Support and develop forecasting processes Provide informative analysis and insight into commercial systems Provide analytical support on range planning Proactively identify trends in data and make recommendations on operational improvements Understand the commercial systems and be able to recommend changes to continuously improve the systems for the benefit of the operational employees and analytics Support infrastructure and controls Business Intelligence Essential Skills / Experience: Degree level education in a finance, mathematics, computer science or analytical subject Strong problem-solving ability Ability to communicate with wide range of stakeholders with various levels of technical understanding Ability to demonstrate exceptional numerical and analytical skills with outstanding attention to detail Ability to analyse large and complex datasets Microsoft Excel skills are desirable SQL skills are desirable VBA and any other programming knowledge desirable Business Intelligence experience is desirable (Power BI, Tableau, Looker etc.)
