Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently working with a successful service business in Sheffield as they look to recruit a part-time Financial Controller. The role will comprise of around 22 hours and will be over 5 days so will work very well around school hours. You will be responsible for leading on all aspects of finance for the business and becoming a true partner with the senior management team ensuring reliable financial control is in place and ensuring the long term sustainability for the business. This will be a varied role with duties to include the following:- - Produce accurate set of management accounts 3 working days of month-end and circulating to managers for review - Produce a reconciled balance sheet by 5 working days ensuring that all files are updated as journals are posted - Control the cash flow forecasts and budgeting - Prepare year-end accounts and work with auditors to complete statutory returns - Evaluate all projects at their outset and aid managers in bid preparation - Be a business partner to the operational managers - Present accounts and forecasts on a quarterly basis - Have a good understanding of all other functions within the finance department and to ensure the accuracy of the information posted to the accounts - Ensure income and costs are posted to the correct line within the accounts - Ad hoc reporting The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences: ACA, ACCA, CIMA Qualified qualified accountant Resilience and tenacity Agility to adjust to rapidly changing priorities Demonstrable evidence of engaging internal and external stakeholders Strong and compelling communicator Competent excel user (Pivot tables and V look Ups) Elevation Accountancy & Finance focuses on the recruitment of talented Accountancy and Finance professionals across all levels, from entry-level trainees through to post qualified accountants.
