Bookkeeper - £25,000 20 days holidays company benefits Our North London client is seeking to employ an experienced bookkeeper to join their expanding finance team. Duties include: Manage clients' day to day bookkeeping - Balancing accounts - preparing invoices and making payments - checking company accounts - preparing cash flow statements - dealing with financial paperwork and filing - calculating commission/kickbacks to vendors - Monthly and quarterly bookkeeping - Manage and process VAT returns - Using Sage Account 50 - Maintaining purchase ledger and sales ledger - Bank Reconciliations - Reconciliation of cash books - Journal entries - Preparing payment runs - Dealing with supplier enquires - Maintaining accurate client account records - Preparing financial reports and identifying trends - General financial support to the organisation - Submitting Workplace pensions - Completing tax forms - paying bills for the company - distributing money appropriately to various departments within the company and keeping track of staff expenses - Additional bookkeeping duties as designated by management Skills required - Ability to work under your own initiative with little supervision - Ability to cope with demanding deadlines - Clear communicator - Excellent accuracy and attention to detail - Computer literate - Proficient in MS packages and Sage Account 50 - Meticulous The ideal candidate will be: - At least 2 years experience working as a bookkeeper - Preferably educated to degree level - Have a strong understanding of accountancy and tax principles - Have excellent analytical skills - Able to interpret numerical data
