An exciting opportunity for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join NHS Education for Scotland (NES) finance team supporting our NDS and Digital directorates in enabling excellence in health and care throughout Scotland. NDS & Digital NDS A fast-growing directorate focused on improving people's lives by applying start-up principles building impactful digital products from the ground up. Your Role Able to work autonomously you will be part of the NES finance team playing an important role supporting the directorates in delivering their outcomes and aligning their financial management to the NES governance structure while also ensuring best value. Responsibilities will include, but are not restricted to... Lead in the development of NDS & Digital directorates ensuring NES financial management processes are robustly embedded to ensure effective governance. Ensuring a strong relationship is maintained between Finance and the Directorates using the Business partnering ethos. Taking responsibility for reporting the financial position of the Directorates, using professional judgement in a range of complex situations to identify, investigate and implement solutions as appropriate Quickly developing a detailed understanding of directorate activities enabling constructive challenge to ensure value for money and the effective management of financial risk. Representing and acting on behalf of NES from a finance perspective dealing with external bodies. Interpreting and analysing a range of external information and the assessing the impact for NES and making suitable recommendations to senior managers.
