We are currently working alongside a well-established and professional firm of accountants who are seeking to appoint an experienced Bookkeeper on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a Bookkeeper who has either worked in an accountancy practice environment previously, or who has managed their own portfolio of clients more recently. Reporting into the Senior Manager, you will be working as part of a wider finance team and be responsible for the following: Responsible for the provision of bookkeeping services for a variety of clients, ensuring that all records are accurately documented and up-to-date. Preparing VAT returns. Bank reconciliations. Maintain and build existing client relationships. Dealing with HMRC and processing VAT returns. To be considered for this role you must either have experience working within an accountancy practice, with extensive experience managing a range of client accounts, or you will have managed the accounts for your own portfolio of clients on a self-employed basis. You should also have experience with a range of accountancy packages.
