A Fortune 500, worldwide engineering manufacturer is looking for a Part Qualified Management Accountant to join the business in Livingston on a Fixed Term Contract of up to one year to cover maternity leave. You will be joining a very experienced finance team and will be supporting the Financial Controller and Senior Cost Accountant. • Supporting the financial controller in pursuing business objectives in terms of output, quality and cost.
• Maintaining and improving the Cost Accounting function and providing management with timely and efficient service.
• Assisting in preparing month-end balance sheet reconciliations.
• Producing and analysing daily management reports to tight deadlines.
• Maintaining daily sales registers ensuring completeness, accuracy and compliance with company's revenue recognition policy.
• Preparing productivity and attended hours reports, ensuring variances from forecast are explained. To be a successful Part Qualified Management Accountant, you will have the following skills and experience:
• A CIMA/ACCA/relevant degree/professional qualification or equivalent in accountancy.
• Advanced Excel and analysis skills.
• Experience of working within an accountancy function within a manufacturing environment is advantageous (other sectors will be considered).
• Good communication skills with the ability to make decisions and apply judgement using own initiative.
• Knowledge of internal control systems and procedures and experience of Sarbanes and Oxley (SOX) is advantageous. In return for this Part Qualified role, you will receive a salary of up to £27,400 per annum DOE, plus 33 days holiday and a contribution pension scheme.
