Freightserve recruitment are looking for a experienced Pricing person who has experience with Air, Sea and Roadfreight. The company are a large Freight Forwarder based in the Manchester area. Job description:- We are currently recruiting for a Air, Sea and Roadfreight Pricing Specialist at our Manchester Branch who will be responsible for issuing quotations to the sales functions for specific trade routes and products. As part of the role you will work closely with the Trade/Route Managers to ensure market competitive quotes are issued for new and existing customer base and be responsible for monitoring quotes issued. Your Tasks and

Responsibilities:
- Generate Air, Sea and Roadfreight quotations to support regular and/or spot pricing enquiries from the National Sales Functions, Route teams or Overseas Offices. Complete rate sheets, tenders and rate Matrix as requested To understand and work with internal quotation tools To have full understanding of Air, Sea and Roadfreight products you are pricing for and to be aware of other freight products and activityKnowledge and ability to be able to secure the rates for the quote construction from the business field quoting platform to meet the demand to liaise closely with trade management / product to ensure you are delivering the correct sales position in line with market conditions Record sales function follow up of quotations as needed and communicate the positive or negative feedback in respect of being able to source the competitive rates to support the closure of all business opportunities Use the quote feedback to quote more effectively for future opportunities Liaise with air freight management for pricing guidance To perform local carrier negotiation in alignment with trade management to obtain best possible pricing for specific enquiries Your skills and experience:- Previous experience in a similar role in a logistics environment Experience of working in a commercial / pricing role Ability to be very profit conscious Ability to work on you own initiative and as part of a team Flexible approach to working hours Excellent communication skills As an agency we are fast becoming the number one Freight specialist in the UK.
