Graduate Accountant Based in Bristol Competitive Salary Training & Study Support Are you a recent or soon-to-be graduate, bright, articulate and ambitious and interested in pursuing a career in Accountancy? Work could include... o Preparation of tax returns for sole traders, entrepreneurs, high-net-worth individuals, non-UK domiciliaries and residents, plus companies across the UK, from family businesses to complex multinational groups o Corresponding with HMRC regarding client's tax affairs, assisting with HMRC enquiries into client's tax returns o Undertaking a variety of audit and accountancy tasks, with a particular focus on auditing pension schemes o Completing audit programmes and forming conclusions on each individual test and section completed You will train with and learn from an experienced team who will provide on-the-job mentoring while at the same time studying towards becoming a Chartered Accountant (ACA) / Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA). You will receive extensive support to ensure your professional development and genuine opportunities for progression. Academic requirements... o Must have or be on course for at least a 2:1 honours degree in any discipline o 300 UCAS points (or equivalent) in your top three A-levels (excluding General Studies) o GCSE English and maths (or equivalent) at a minimum of grade B Progression is fast, with responsibility from an early stage. By the second year you'll be taking on a more senior role and helping to supervise the new intake of trainees and as your experience grows, you may have opportunities to experience other more complex or high-profile assignments.
