Graduate Accountant Based in Guildford Competitive Salary Training & Study Support Are you a recent graduate, bright, articulate and ambitious and interested in pursuing a career in Accountancy? Would you be interested in gaining valuable hands on experience working for one of the UK's leading independently-owned financial services firms? An opportunity currently exists for a high calibre Graduate to join the Assurance & Business Services team at our client's Guildford office. You would be joining as part of the company's highly regarded graduate programme, combining practical experience with technical studies, as well as providing opportunities to increase your skill set with internal courses ranging from personal impact and negotiation skills to time management to delivering presentations. Work will include... o Undertaking a variety of audit and accountancy tasks o Developing a thorough understanding of clients, their businesses and expectations o Complete audit programmes and form conclusions on each individual test and section completed You will train with and learn from an experienced team who will provide on-the-job mentoring while at the same time studying towards your ACA professional qualification. You will receive extensive support to ensure your professional development and genuine opportunities for career progression within one of the UK's leading firms. The work will be varied and interesting and while receiving support from your peers you will be expected to work autonomously and therefore need to be self-motivated, mature, and highly organised. Academic requirements... o Must have or be on course for at least a 2:1 honours degree in any discipline o 300 UCAS points (or equivalent) in your top three A-levels (excluding General Studies) o GCSE English and maths (or equivalent) at a minimum of grade B Progression within this team is fast, with responsibility from an early stage. By the second year you'll be taking on a more senior role and helping to supervise the new intake of trainees and as your experience grows, you may have opportunities to experience other assignments.
