Badenoch Clark are working with a leading Insurance business to recruit for a Financial Reporting Manager. You will have full responsibility for delivering the insurance financial information on a timely basis and assist in embedding, documenting controls and processes following a recent systems implementation. Key
responsibilities:
Group reporting, including monthly management packs and annual Group Audit Packs ensuring they are completed in line with Group deadlines Support Regulatory reporting under Solvency II Statutory reporting and financial statement production Technical accounting and Insurer, Commercial Partner and 3rd party reporting Team management including objective setting and mentoring best practice to help the team develop Reconciliation and internal control frameworks with a key focus on driving process change Assist in planning and coordinating external and internal audits Completion of quarterly analytical reviews for both P&L and Balance Sheet IPT reporting -working closely with Group Tax Manager ensuring compliance of IPT regulations and that UK and overseas IPT returns for both our insurance entity and the 3rd party underwriters are completed in a timely manner and are adequately reviewed Sign off of revenue accruals, earnings, claim reserves, IBNR reserves, reinsurance journals, 3rd party profit share estimates and other daily/monthly journals Key skills: Strong technical knowledge - up to date expertise in relevant accounting standards FRS102 and FRS103 under UK GAAP. Proven experience of statutory accounting and audit management Insurance background essential Solvency II experience is desirable Experience of process improvements Ability to interpret commercial contracts, ensuring that financial considerations have been factored in.
