Payroll and Finance Officer North Shields £17,805 - £20,175 Our client is recruiting for a Payroll and Finance Officer to join their team at Age UK North Tyneside in North Sheilds. About the Payroll and Finance Officer role: You will be responsible for processing and co-ordinating all aspects of payroll on a monthly and annual basis, supporting the group finance functions by ensuring financial controls, processes and reporting deadlines are met. Duties can include but are not restricted to the following: Prepare and process wages, salaries and staff expenses for payment using SAGE Payroll and BACS online submission. Compliance with HMRC regulatory requirements including the completion and submission of monthly & annual returns Work with the Pension providers to ensure that all pension contributions, processes and systems are accurately administered. Responsible for all expenditure is complete, cross charging and related control accounts balances are correct Deal with external and internal queries relating to payroll To provide finance and admin support within the finance department and assist with all other general office duties as and when required About you: You will have a minimum of 2 years payroll experience, including month end and year end procedures for an organisation with 50 employees. ATT part qualified and have a Maths and English qualification (Grade A-C) Other skills and attributes required: Experience with Sage 50 Payroll, Sage 50 Accounts and electronic banking is essential for this job Highly organised, with efficient time management and the ability to prioritise workload Ability to work independently and within a team Excellent communication and negotiation skills Actively identifying opportunities for improvement Strong numerical and analytical skills and have high attention to detail You will work with the organisation's values: Positive - They welcome challenges and celebrate achievements.
