Our 50,000 colleagues in 120 countries empower results for clients by using proprietary data and analytics to deliver insights that reduce volatility and improve performance.Role Purpose/SummaryReporting to the Area Director the jobholder will be responsible for the retention and development of a portfolio of clients and providing expert consulting advice to ensure service meets clients needsResponsible to ensure full cross-selling potential is recognised and achieved in a congruent manner across the Business Unit.Ensure both AEB operational priorities and client relationships comply with internal and external regulatory requirements and treating customers fairly is at the heart of practices.Work with the Area Director to ensure that all business change activities are embedded in day to day working practices of the local offices.The Employee Benefits division of Aon helps companies to engage their employees and enhance their lives through provision of workplace benefits, such as health and wellbeing offerings and workplace savings and financial education. Key AccountabilitiesProvide Leadership to the Risk team within the Leeds office.Drive AEB initiatives to ensure timely implementation with no adverse business impact.Develop, gain agreement to, and direct the uniform implement of robust, compliant operational plans, practices and policies.Ensure the operational aspects of client requirements are fully met and treating customers fairly is embedded into day to day working practices, with particular focus on delivering the best of the AEB product portfolio to the local client.Working with the Area Director to execute plans, implement and monitor adherence to operational improvement initiatives across AEB.Ensure that processes and measures are in place for monitoring and maintaining standards of business conduct consistent with Aon best practice and all internal and external compliance and regulatory requirements. Analyse trends, report and make recommendations to senior management as necessary.Work with Area Director to ensure that robust performance management and training and competence processes are in place.Act as key advisor for portfolio of clients, attending client meetings; providing expert advice to ensure client product and service needs are metDevelop and maintain long-term relationships with clients to enhance service delivery and identify new business opportunities.Stay up-to-date with current trends in the industry, monitor market developments and identify revenue generation opportunities for existing clients.Ensure account retention and new business development for the business unit independently and in conjunction with the Sales team and/or other Aon business units (Aon Consulting and Aon Ltd).Ensure that any potential E&O cases are addressed in accordance with an appropriate procedure to minimise Aon's exposureProvide information as required for regular and adhoc financial statements for the business for regulatory, accounting and other purposesEnsure renewal and retention of existing accounts by establishing client needs, maintaining client relationships and facilitating the overall renewal processIncrease the value of a portfolio of accounts by identifying and converting addition business opportunities from current clients which include business units within Aon Consulting and/or Aon LtdProvide coaching and mentoring support to colleagues including but not limited to formal mentoring responsibilities and informal on-the-job assistance with work assignmentsAgree service levels or targets with external and internal suppliers and monitor the delivery of services against those targets, address performance issues as and when requiredUpon identification, report risks to the Area Director to ensure appropriate risk management activities are implementedResponsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.Experience, Knowledge and SkillsStrong track record of leading teams - able to motivate and inspire team to achieve successStrong influencing skillsProven record of project managing the implementation of operational initiatives to improve business performance and in developing and sharing best practiceEnthusiastic team player with strong relationship and empathy building skills who is capable of selling reasons for change / plans to a diverse range of relationships.Problem solving skillsStrong analytical and numerical skillsStrong interpersonal skills - able to communicate well across organisational levelsSelf disciplined and organisedUpholds and demonstrates leadership valuesWell-developed knowledge of FCA requirements and standardsSalary and BenefitsThis role offers a competitive salary and bonus, plus a comprehensive benefits package and 25 days holiday.
