We are looking to recruit a full time Finance Officer to join the Finance and Administration team based within our Head Office in Snetterton. The Successful applicant will be required to communicate with staff across the organisation, those in Head Office and those at the 4 recovery and rehabilitation centres and Field Officers based around the UK Job description for Finance Officer Process supplier invoices Prepare payments to suppliers Maintain a complete record of international transactions and authorisations Maintain head office petty cash and arrange floats for events Assist the finance director in preparing for statutory and other auditors File and archive purchase ledger, expenses and banking documentation Review bank statements and credit card transactions, check for unusual transactions, ensure account balances are maintained at agreed levels Reconcile all debit and credit card accounts Process and pay expense claims for UK and overseas activities Maintain records of international transactions and authorisations Working with the finance director with aspects of the charity's facilities management like utilities and insurances Other finance and job related tasks as and when required Requirements for Finance Officer Experience using Sage 200 - essential Experience with handling ledger accounts - essential Previous experience in finance positions - essential Experience with bank reconciliations - essential Experience of working within charity finance - highly advantageous Experience handling foreign currency transactions - desired but not essential Knowledge of and experience handling Charity VAT - desired but not essential Well organised and an excellent attention to detail The ability to prioritise work loads and work under pressure Excellent verbal and written communication skills Computer literate Excellent skills with MS Office software, including Excel and Outlook Closing date: 2nd August 2019
