Are you able to act as the primary point of contact for its clients on Finance matters? • Support the FRC CEO and Management Committee as the lead for FRC within the Finance business partnering team, providing insight into the FRC results, underlying business drivers and future outlook; the ability to challenge constructively is crucial to the success of the role.
• Support the monthly FRC financial reporting and forecasting process together with commentary and analytics. Within CFO you will contribute to finance projects where FRC representation and expertise is needed.
• Prepare and review FRC strategic plans and Management Information, across all financial metrics; including but not limited to revenues, costs, capital, Economic Profit and workforce planning; when supporting the business in achieving IB objectives.
• Partner with the Business on optimisation of all financial resources (e.g. LRD, RWA, Front to Back costs, Funding).
• Serve as the FRC finance point of contact and subject matter expert to support ad hoc initiatives as required by IB CFO or the Business.
• Liaise and collaborate with the wider Group Finance and Corporate Center community, in support of an array of high-profile UBS Group and IB projects. Your team: You will be working in the IB CFO team, which sits within the Corporate Center and ensures that our business divisions operate as a coherent and effective whole. The Corporate Center provides and manages support and control functions for the business divisions and the Group including risk management and control (including compliance), finance and legal. The team also provide all logistics and support functions including operations, information technology, human resources, corporate development, regulatory relations and strategic initiatives, communications and branding, corporate real estate and administrative services, procurement, offshoring and treasury services such as funding, balance sheet and capital management. A background in investment banking with a good understanding of the Investment Bank business and experience in a similar role or within a product control / planning and analysis role / other role where your skillset will be complimentary to the skills of the teamExperiencing managing and leading a team of talented peopleYou are... Able to manage a wide set of objectives with competing priorities that require one to organise the effective use of resources across functions, business and time zonesUsed to working in teams with strong interpersonal skills to thrive in a complex, fast changing environmentA decisive individual willing to think differently and willing to suggest alternative options, able to adopt a flexible and adaptable approach, focused on timely resolution to problems Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint), with experience in Business Objects and Cognos a plus.
