SF Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant for a growing and exciting business near Burton-On-Trent. This is a fantastic role offering variety for a company who are market leaders in what they do. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the Purchase Ledger, collection of debt for the company and provide support for Payroll as and when required. This role will report directly into the Finance Manager. Key responsibilities include:
• Processing of all purchase invoices onto the SAP system, maintaining an accurate and up-to-date purchase ledger
• Monthly statement reconciliations
• Coding of purchase invoices, ensuring VAT is also accurate
• Process any one-off bank payments as required
• Ensure that all purchase invoices are entered in accordance with the deadlines on the month end timetable.
• File all purchase invoices and statements in a timely manner.
• Dealing with any supplier queries, both telephone and email
• Ensure that customer statements are sent out monthly.
• Chase outstanding debt for the business in the agreed deadlines
• Post all bank transactions across all accounts accurately in SAP.
• Assist the Finance Manager and Finance Coordinator with any other tasks as required. The successful candidate will have good exposure to both Credit Control and Purchase Ledger, with previous SAP experience being desirable. A keen eye for detail, excellent interpersonal skills and time management skills are imperative for this role.
