Finance Director - Ilkeston - £75,000 - £85,000 Chase & Holland are very happy to be working exclusively with a very well established business based in Derbyshire who are looking to recruit a Finance Director. This role will be to support and challenge the Managing Director and the Board of Directors on all elements of Finance and to lead and manage all day to day and strategic aspects of the financial, accounting and company secretarial activities. You will be tasked with ensuring that all statutory accounting, reporting activities and deadlines are met, improving all aspects of financial reporting and business partnering, raising the profile of Finance throughout the business. responsibilities:
Business partnering with all aspects of Finance during proposal and costing of new bids and existing projects. Production and presentation of monthly Board pack and KPI's to Board (and when required Trustees). Assist the Board in identifying and assessing potential acquisitions. On success assist with the integration of acquired business. Take responsibility for reporting all financials against 3-year business plan. Managing the overall budget and forecast process including the critical review and preparation of monthly management and financial year end accounts, profit & loss reports and forecasting. Managing the working capital and treasury requirements, including foreign currency. Financial modelling to support strategic bids to acquire new business Leading, managing and developing the Finance Team. The specification, operation and continuous improvement of the ERP system. Company Secretary duties - ensuring that the company complies with standard financial and legal practice and maintains standards of corporate governance. Special projects, as specified and in conjunction with the Managing Director and Board of Directors, including improvement projects and opportunities for growth. Preparation of tax returns. Key requirements and preferences: The right person will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with the ability to lead by example and demonstrate a track record of process development and improvement. You will ideally come from a background that has seen you operating with a business that deals with complex contracts across Europe and Asia. Experience with Company pension schemes, including auto-enrolment is a must. Ability to interact effectively with all stakeholders, at all levels (internal and external) throughout the business. Strong leadership and people management skills. Be able to demonstrate good attention to detail and logical decision making. Ability to set up process and controls and review existing systems.
