We are growing quickly, adding new markets, new services, new delivery options and improved analytical tools. Job Purpose Due to the continued growth of the business, we are looking for a capable Junior Accountant to support our Finance team in handling European finance responsibilities. In this role, you will swiftly develop an understanding of the business operations to take responsibility for your tasks as well as providing support to the wider Finance team and helping to develop the accounting processes. Key responsibilities Multi-currency bank reconciliations General accruals - Posting and reconciliation Balance sheet reconciliations Assisting and providing guidance to the Accounts Payable team. Processing of manual and automatic journals in NetSuite ERP system. Revaluation of open currency balances Monthly cashflow reporting Investigation of month end expense variances as required Support the preparation of the year-end group and subsidiary financial statements audits Support the Finance team on ad hoc projects Skills and Experience Proven experience of general accounting within a busy, international Finance team Strong IT skills in particular Excel including Vlookup, pivot tables Excellent attention to detail Good communication skills Courteous, friendly and a positive can-do attitude Knowledge of NetSuite and database processing an advantage About Argus Media Argus is an independent media organisation with almost 1,000 staff.
