My client based in the Beckenham area is looking for an experienced Financial Controller/Finance Manager to join their head office on a full time permanent basis. They are a small group compromising of 3 companies specialising in the textiles industry. This role is a crucial part of the business and I'm looking for positive all rounder with experience working in a SME company. With the urgency of this role my client is also open to candidates looking for a short term 3-6 month contract, whilst they find a permanent candidate. Employment: Full Time, 9.00am - 5.30pm

Salary:
£50,000 - £65,000 depending on skills & experience

Job Title:
Group Financial Controller Accounting Quarterly Management accounts, Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet - reporting to Directors and Bank
• Monthly Sales Reporting to Directors and stakeholders
• Managing accounting of multi-currency sales transactions
• Recording of financial currency transactions and overall ongoing exposures
• Overseeing and reviewing preparation of Consolidated Statutory Accounts, listing adjustments and reconciliation of management Accounts to Statutory Accounts including overseas subsidiary Overseeing Credit and Credit Insurance policies, reporting and maintaining details for annual renewals process
• Monthly analysis of Expenditure
• Liaison with Auditors Research and Development calculation
• Calculations of costs to recharge across the Group
• Managing multi-jurisdictional sales with differing VAT implications Ensuring stock reporting controls are robust for end of accounting periods
• Management of the Finance and Administration teams and overseeing both functions
• Reviewing the Corporation Tax for all Group companies
• Liaison with bank (HSBC) and overseeing relationship and correspondence There are also HR/ADMIN and IT responsibilities involved in this role, which is why the right candidate needs to be happy to muck in with this busy and varied role. KEY COMPETENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED The position will suit an experienced (at least three years), hands-on Accountant, Finance Manager or Financial Controller (Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA or QBE and working towards a qualification) from a similar sized SME. A logistics or stock-focused background would be useful but is not essential. High degree of organisation with ability to multi-task, prioritise, and follow up promptly Strong IT skills are essential with previous experience of Navision and/or having successfully overseen the implementation of finance software
