The Consultancy Group are working exclusively with Clear Channel International to recruit a Senior Group Accountant for their offices in Golden Square, Piccadilly W1F 9JT. This role is key to the delivery of monthly group consolidated reporting, technical accounting projects and assessments including ongoing Revenue and Leasing standard implementation, working capital/balance sheet reviews and corporate transactions. responsibilities:
Working with the Group Financial Controller ("GFC") and CCI Business Units ("BUs") to deliver monthly group consolidation reporting and reviews and contributing to quarterly US external reporting Collaboration with other CCI Headquarters ("HQ") functions including Tax, Legal, Treasury and FP&A Performing technical US GAAP accounting assessments and leading/implementing ongoing technical accounting projects across the CCI business e.g. new revenue recognition (ASC 606 & IFRS 15) and lease accounting (ASC 842 & IFRS 16) standards Preparing and presenting quarterly Revenue and Lease disclosure templates to V.P. of Accounting in US, for inclusion in external filings Working closely with CCI BUs on the completeness, accuracy and compliance of monthly Revenue and Lease variables with newly adopted US GAAP standards Quarterly assessments of BU and HQ legal and restructuring provisions Managing Holding company reporting, Holdco Financial statement preparation and maintaining relationships with Dutch Holdco advisers Managing the reporting and execution of cross-border loan transactions Performing on-site BU primary statement reviews and supporting BU finance teams Performing and presenting monthly working capital reviews to GFC Providing ad-hoc support to the GFC Preparation, filing and liaison with auditors for UK FRS102 statutory accounts Overseeing group intercompany transactions and reconciliations Supporting corporate transactions Managing and supporting development of junior group accountant Essential requirements: A qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent Proven experience in a group finance function and working and developing within an international corporate environment US GAAP and IFRS technical accounting experience, specifically in newly adopted revenue and lease standards Experience in managing the administration of Holding company financials and intercompany transactions Advanced Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (e.g. pivot tables, v-lookup, SumIFs, indirect formulas, nested IF/OR statements, Power Pivot) Experience using IBM's Cognos Controller and TM1 tools to consolidate group accounts Experience using lease accounting systems to report and consolidate group lease figures Experience with applying/interpreting technical accounting policies specifically within the context of the media industry Proven track record of coordinating and rolling out new technical accounting adoption projects across multiple BUs Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills Problem solving mentality "Can do" positive attitude, energy and enthusiasm Analytical and logical mindset and technical skills combined with the ability and desire to get into the details Strong attention to detail
