Financial Controller (Interim) Day rate: £300-£350
Location:
London Job Description London Metropolitan University are currently on the look out for an interim Financial Controller to oversee their end of year process. This role will ideally fit someone who is very process driven as the University already has a slick process to get this end of year done and are ideally looking for someone who can manage and drive the process completion. Reporting directly in to the CFO you will need to have good communication skills as you will be the link between the financial process and the senior management. The role breakdown will likely be 50% dealing with the numbers, notes and completing the financial statements - 25% communication with senior management and 25% managing others to complete the process. This is going to be a fast-paced environment and will ideally suit a candidate who enjoys multitasking and working to deadlines. Due to the end of year process already being embedded it will really allow the successful candidate to drive the completion forward without having to worry to much about troubleshooting along the way. This in turn will allow you to feel like you are really making headway on the project and effecting things rather than getting tied up in the rolling out of a process. Essential criteria Previous background within further education Qualified accountant (doesn't need to be chartered) Experience in end of year financial reporting This role is likely to offer a 2 - 3 month placement as the university's end of year is due to complete in October. There is also flexibility around hours and days required to complete the role. Applications are currently being considered with a start date available almost immediately for the right candidate. Capita ARC is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
