Robert Half Finance and Accounting are currently recruiting on a exclusive basis for a Senior Financial Accountant to join a busy, vibrant and Large Finance Function at their site which is based in Derby, which is accessible from Nottingham, Burton upon Trent and Tamworth. Reporting to the Head of Finance the Senior Financial Accountant will play a pivotal key role in the development of the Accounting Function. This would ideally suit someone who comes from Practice as a first time mover. To manage the team in the absence of the head of accounting in cascading key message and implementing changes to processes. To play a key part in helping the Finance Department achieve its mission statement of 'being a leading edge service provider, helping the organisation achieve its goals by providing quality advice on financial matters and implementing necessary financial strategies. You will take full ownership of all of the monthly management accounting activity's and the financial accounting / statutory requirements. Working with the Head of Finance you will drive budgeting and forecasting across the business, working with none finance P&L owners to drive financial performance through positive challenge and decision making based on well informed financial analysis. To be considered for this role you will need to be qualified accountant in either the CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualification. You will currently be in a role where you are a people manager and likely already to be a Finance Manager or Financial Controller. Role and responsibility's; Reporting back to the Head of the Department for reviews and supporting the decision making process Analyse the development of forecasting the cash flow and monitoring forecast Managing a small team to ensure the key changes in the team Balance sheet reporting and accounting treatment Presentation and forecasting for internal purposes Project Management Skills, identify improvements in systems and processes to maximise efficiency Must have a wealth of experience in VAT returns and advice on tax issues, Treasury, project accounting & supporting the bidding and partnerships activity This is a highly technical role They are keen to hire an confident Senior Financial Accountant who has a professional and friendly manner and strong work ethic.
