Senior Finance Analyst - Financial Control, Operations

Nottingham Support Office Shift pattern: Full-time Hours per week: Over 35 hours per week The Financial Controller team are responsible for the accuracy of financial reporting within with Operations division. This role sits within the Operations team, who look after property, stores and supply chain within Boots UK. You will form part of a team of 5 reporting to the Senior Manager - Financial Control - Operations. Key Responsibilities Ownership of an area of month end, quarter end and year end closes within the Operations control team and responsible for the accuracy of postings into SAP Balance sheet reconciliations, journal posting and review, necessary investigative work Work together to shape and improve processes in a period of change for the organisation Identify and pursue opportunities for automation wherever possible SOX and secondary controls compliance Provide advice and support on accounting questions to other areas of the business Liaison with internal and external teams A bit about you... A part or newly qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with an understanding of IFRS and US GAAP (training can be provided) Experience of SAP an advantage The ability to work and communicate effectively across the business and cope with change in a fast paced environment Comfortable in challenging the status quo An audit background is an advantage but not essential A bit about us...
