This is a brand new role as a result of growth and the successful candidate will be encouraged to put their own stamp on it, making a real impact in a relatively short space of time. As a key member of the Operations Finance team, you will report to a Senior Finance Manager, providing analytical support to stakeholders, including procurement, as well as ensuring strong accounting and controls from a finance perspective. Main duties include: Providing monthly detailed analysis and insight into cost, which can be used to drive performance and improve cost base Providing accurate weekly forecasting into consolidated model Driving confidence in number and providing insight into risks and opportunities Leading the team in developing a good understanding of ownership and accountability Creating budget pack for cost and capex for presentation to Senior Management Responsibility for managing balance sheet position and review of reconciliations Reviewing full month end analysis detailing variances Producing month end reporting packs and consolidated commentary Ensuring the financial accuracy of the group and entity balance sheet Key skills & experience required: Qualified accountant with a minimum 2 years' PQE Ideally a strong mix of technical and business partnering exposure Excellent analytical skills with an ability to demonstrate a clear grasp of variance analysis and key drivers Capable of communicating and challenging stakeholders effectively and can demonstrate influence and credibility A proactive tem player with a positive and flexible approach to problem solving A true self starter, with high levels of motivation and enthusiasm This is a fantastic opportunity for a career-minded Finance Manager to join a local employer of choice and FTSE 100 brand looking to bolster its existing talent and bring through some new future finance leaders.
