Junior Accounts Assistant

£18,000- £20,000 per annum Department: Accounts Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm Reporting to: Team Leader Processing received revenue accurately and efficiently to insurance ledgers and making timely payments in insurers. Main Duties: Prepare cash receipts and reconcile, highlighting and investigating discrepancies Complete Insurer payments by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling statements. Credit control - contacting clients via email to chase outstanding premiums Communicating frequently with Account Handlers and staff members General Office Duties Person Specification: Previous account experience preferably IBA account experience. 5 GCSEs (A - C) including Maths and English or equivalent Willingness to study towards AAT qualification Some understanding of an accounts receivable or accounts payable position would be an advantage Must be computer literate Highly numerate Accuracy Excellent data entry skills Ability to work within a team using their own initiative Confidence and the ability to communicate efficiently with external customers and colleagues at all levels within the organisation Flexible and adaptable to change
