Your role Your main responsibilities and missions will be : Reporting to the Chief of Staff, you will be responsible to develop controls and analysis on financial statements Assisting in the oversight of the offshore team in charge of the Group financial reportings and providing support and financial information where required Participating in the key Finance project of the implementation of the new Accounting platform to enhance controls on the quality of the Finance information (testing, reconciliation implementation) Managing ad hoc requests for SGIL CFO and Deputy CFO You will have the following

responsibilities:
Preparing and enhancing the statutory accounts Developing analysis and controls over the financial statements of SGIL. Assisting the Deputy CFO for the analytical review of the balance for the FCA/Board Actively liaising with SG EBS (offshore team) to review all Group financial reportings Actively liaising with Head Office in providing an improved understanding of the balance sheet and answering ad-hoc queries. Participating in the project of the implementation of controls to enhance the quality of the Finance information (testing, reconciliation implementation) Review and update of policies and procedures documentation Participating to the SGIL governance preparation of documents for the CFO of SGIL (papers and supporting presentation circulating during various committees for SGIL Board of Directors) The VIE assignment in a nutshell This VIE in London is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months. The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. Environment Your environment At Societe Generale, you will be joining the Finance division of Global Banking & Investors Solutions (GBIS), one of the three pillars of SG that brings together Corporate and Investment Banking activities, Private Banking activities, Asset Management and Investor Services. This division oversees the quality and delivery of financial statements for GBIS, the independent certification of financial data for various activities, and also provides day-to-day explanations on profit and loss for market activities. You will join the GBIS Finance Division (DFIN/GBI) which is in charge of: - Steering the financial and budgetary strategy of GBIS, and its investment and development policy; - Measuring and analyzing the profitability of the activities portfolio (clients, businesses, geographies) and the use of all resources (overheads, balance sheet, capital, liquidity, etc.); - Certifying GBIS accounts (accounting quality, valuation methods, orders options, etc., regardless of the production centres, vis-à-vis DFIN, CAC, regulators, etc).; - Ensuring the necessary support and the right level of expertise on the subjects of accounting standards, taxation, scarce resources and regulation.
