Title: Part-time Finance Officer.

Location:
Birmingham, Halesowen ( free in-house relocation service). Contract: Part-time (35 hours/week; Monday-Friday).

Due to our rapid expansion within the UK, and recent development across International markets, we are now looking for a part-time Finance Officer to join us as we continue to learn, adapt and grow as a business. Utilising your excellent organisational and communication skills, in this position you will be providing a full accounts payable service to ensure our wide range of UK-based and overseas suppliers receive accurate and timely payment of invoices, expenses, and payment requisitions. On a daily basis, you will be hands-on in the preparation and reconciliation of bank accounts, as well as conducting investigations into, and resolving all un-reconciled invoices. In addition, you will be pivotal in covering a wide range of banking-relating duties, including (but not limited to) handling direct debits, bank transfers, standing orders and preparing cheques for banking. Furthermore, you will be actively involved in preparing ledgers for month end close-down - from posting and coding invoices, to carrying out weekly suppliers' payment runs and reconciling supplier's invoices to our bespoke back office system. This opportunity is ideally suited for someone with excellent numerical skills who also possesses a high attention to detail, combined with a logical approach to problem solving. You will need to be able to communicate with both finance and non-finance professionals, to ensure efficient and accurate correspondence across the business for various stakeholders. Essential skills required: Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role. Relevant professional bookkeeping qualification (e.g. AAT, MAAT or similar). Experience in using Sage 50 or similar package. Good level of competence with Microsoft Office-Excel, Word and Outlook. Basic understanding of VAT and taxation rules relating to purchases and payments. "Nice to have" skills: Experience within the gaming/eGaming sector. Previous experience implementing process automation.
