Reed Accountancy & Finance are working closely with a client based in Omagh (construction industry) who have an opportunity for an Accounts Manager to join their team. This is a permanent opportunity. Responsible to: Managing Director and Senior Management Team Job Purpose: To provide and manage a comprehensive financial control function that maximises profitability, supports the management team and contributes to the successful development of the business Main Tasks and Responsibilities Preparation of monthly management accounts for the electrical companies (NI & ROI) and report these to the Financial Controller, comparing actual outcomes with budget Preparation of annual budgets for the NI and ROI companies Preparation of financial forecasts and assist with business plans for the business Prepare papers for Financial Controller to present at board and management meetings. On occasions, attend these meetings to deal with all financial and commercial aspects of the company's electrical businesses. Ensure appropriate internal control systems are in place within the company to protect the company's assets and to prevent fraud or errors Efficiently manage the company's working capital, manage the cash flow and prepare updated cash flow forecasts as required Liaison with external reporting accountants/auditors ensuring full cooperation to meet their requirements Responsible for ensuring company compliance with both HMRC & Irish Revenue tax regulations, particularly for Vat, PAYE and Corporation Tax Preparation of grant claims on behalf of company and submission of same on a timely basis to relevant authority Monitor and analyse margins and costs by contract and identify ways to improve profitability As member of the accounts team, proactively assist in decision making and reviewing operations Carry out any other tasks as required. The above reflects typical duties and is not intended to be a comprehensive list of all tasks and responsibilities Personnel Specification A Part Qualified Accountant (preferably Chartered) with a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience within a fast-paced commercial environment Demonstrate strong commercial and business acumen Experience of cross border trading Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, together with a proactive and positive approach Have significant experience in supporting non-financial managers with appropriate financial information, KPI's Experience of acquisitions or general corporate finance would be an advantage Please get in touch with Lizzy Lyons on , and email an up to date cv to
