Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a leading and well-established global asset management group looking to add an experienced and dynamic Deputy Accounting Manager to their team based in Swindon. The role will be responsible for the production of monthly management accounts, management information including liquidity forecasts, regulatory reporting to the FCA and production of annual financial statements for a range of UK commercial Funds. Your new role

You will deputise the Client Accounting Manager and aid in the supervision of a team of Fund Accountants when needed. Your key duties will include the preparation/review of monthly Management Accounts including the analysis and reconciliation of Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Account General Ledger and completing Net Asset Value for communication to investors. You will prepare annual statutory Financial Statements along with supporting documents and liaison with internal and external auditors. Preparation of taxation schedules, reconciliations of quarterly income, submission of quarterly VAT along with producing monthly management information. You will ensure continuous implementation of operation and accounting standards/controls along with assisting in processes improvement and ad-hoc reporting/duties for senior management.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this exciting Deputy Accounting Manager role you will need to part/fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with key Management Accounting experience. You will need clear and concise communication skills to build internal and external relationships along with being client focused and target driven. Ideally you will have experience supervising or developing a small finance team, with key MS excel skills and be trained in a range of finance packages. Experience with fund accounting or in the property/investment sector would be advantageous but not essential.
