This is a small to medium size Lloyds of London insurance group- who specialise within Broking. This company provide a family feel and excellent working culture for its employees. With a small turnover it is rare for this business to be recruiting within its finance function. None the less this serves as an excellent opportunity for a growing and developing Assistant Accountant to join the team.
Your new role
This Assistant Management Accountant position will be joining an existing team of 5 and reporting into the finance manager who is all about up-skilling and promoting growth. Duties will include:
- Assisting with monthly management accounts production, including creating the MI pack, income statements, producing trial balances.
- Balance sheet and P & L reconciliations
- Management of Expenses through the system concur
- Journal entries
- Bank reconciliations
- Maintaining fixed assets.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be a driven ACCA or CIMA studier with previous experience in some of the responsibilities mentioned above. It will be strongly advantageous to have previous insurance experience although this is not essential.
