Head of Financial Policy

Your new company

My client is a central government organisation based in Central London. They are looking to recruit a Head of Financial Policy on a permanent basis.

Your new role

Reporting to the Head of Regulatory Finance, you will provide expert advice on how to determine the cost of capital, including how to set the cost of equity and the cost of debt. You will provide expert advice on assessing the finance-ability on cost of capital, including extensive engagement with rating agencies. In addition, you will be responsible for working in close partnership to resolve any issues that arise ion the course of the price control determination. Moreover, you will provide expert advice on other regulatory finance matters including tax, depreciation and pensions as provide quality assurance for all regulatory finance analysis.

What you'll need to succeed

It is essential to be a qualified (ACA/ACCA/ICAEW) accountant with a strong background in regulatory finance. You will have the ability to apply regulatory finance expertise, allied with a developed understanding of both theory and practice of corporate finance. It is essential to have an understanding of regulatory finance and economic issues such as cost of capital, finance ability, tax, depreciation, pensions and indexation. You will have managed a team also.

What you'll get in return
