JOB TITLE:
FINANCE ANALYST CONTRACT TYPE: PERMANENT We are looking for a Finance Analyst for our client based in their London office. The successful candidate will support the Finance Manager in the running of the finance, regulatory compliance and reporting for the UK office, as well as reporting and finance tasks for the investment funds. Daily duties will include you being exposed to all aspects of the business and will have responsibilities and the ability to make an impact with your own approach from day one. The role will suit an ambitious and high performing individual with finance experience who is interested in developing in a well-rounded finance professional with operations and compliance experience. The candidate must be able to demonstrate problem-solving skills and must display an entrepreneurial mindset as well as the ability to work effectively in a small and tightly knit team. Effective time management and prioritization are key, as well as an eye for details and precision in execution. Daily tasks will include
• Investments accounting
• Supporting preparation and review of financial statements for the investment funds with support from external administrators
• Supporting the preparation of quarterly reporting presentations for Investors
• Liaising with the investment team for reporting and operational queries
• Supporting the preparation and review of capital account statements for Investors
• Supporting the audit of the funds as needed
• Monitoring and control of investors capital movements
• Monitoring and reconciliation of fund cash movements on weekly basis
• Supporting adhoc calculations and projections for funds
• Supporting in the monitoring and updating of investor log
• Monitoring client classification
• Supporting preparation of the monthly compliance call materials
• Liaising with internal counterparts on materials approval by registered firm Requirements
• University educated with business degree
• 12 years of experience working in either: oFinance department of large or medium sized company with reporting experience and business partnering experience (NO payables/receivables type of person)
• Accountant coming from a Fund Administrator who wants to jump to the other side of the "fence".
• Big4 (EY, KPMG, PwC, Deloitte) - Audit, or even tax profile that wants to pivot out of tax. Will also consider anybody with remediation (data) experience. Financial Services experience greatly preferred (Banks, Asset Management, Insurance)
• Understanding of IFRS and financial instruments
• Excel Proficient - Ability to autonomously build complex spreadsheets and financial models (beyond valuations) For more information please reach out and a member of our team will be in touch
