THE COMPANY: Brewster Partners are recruiting an experienced Assistant Accountant for a large, well established Sheffield organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable business known for their staff retention. THE JOB: Reporting to the Company Accountant duties will include: Ensuring the preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts. Preparing all journals and final GL balances including review of month end balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts. Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of accounting records and financial systems; Producing statutory accounts Assisting with budgets and forecasting Ensuring financial management and controls Preparing daily cash figures by entering payments and receipts into appropriate company cash books; Maintaining petty cash system in accordance with Group procedures. Overseeing the Purchase / Sub Contract Ledgers Maintaining the Sales Ledger Assisting with the review of external accounting systems to ensure they are up to date and operationally fit for purpose; Working with Group IT to ensure users have access to the key components of the accounting systems; Assisting the Senior Accountant in working with Group IT Projects to develop in-house specified accountancy packages to ensure fit for purpose.
