A contract (3 months plus) opportunity for an Asset Manager has arisen with the local authorities in Wembley. Job Purpose: Assist with the development of a comprehensive asset management strategy for all Council owned and managed stock that will return maximum value from the assets, taking account of their sustainability, and inform and support the development of the Council's business plan including a 30-year plan for capital and revenue spending. Provide current and accurate information on the condition of its assets, their performance and develop 1-5 year investment programmes for major component replacement and refurbishment and cyclical and reactive maintenance that will ensure the affordable delivery of the asset management strategy. To support the Strategic Asset Manager in securing the continuous development, improvement, efficiency and success of the property services as a whole. Work will involve interpreting or assessing customer needs, identifying trends, generating original ideas, and responding quickly and effectively to operations issues and requirements. Skills and Requirements: Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience. PRINCE2 or equivalent project management qualification/training or demonstrable experience. Knowledge and experience of asset planning and directing investment through major works programmes. Expert understanding of housing asset management and relevant policies, processes and procedures. Good understanding and knowledge of relevant housing legislation, including in relation to construction, maintenance and service provision. Hours of work are 9am till 5pm, Monday to Friday.
