A local authority based in North London is looking for an Asset Manager to join their team. This is a full time, temporary ongoing agency role and the successful candidate will have a full relevant professional qualification, experience of asset planning and capital works and ideally experience in a similar local authority role. The main purposes of the role are as follows; Assist with the development of a comprehensive asset management strategy for all Council owned and managed stock that will return maximum value from the assets Provide current and accurate information on the condition of its assets, their performance and develop 1-5 year investment programmes for major component replacement and refurbishment The main responsibilities associated with this role are outlined below; Support the Strategic Asset Manager to ensure that the client's overall vision, values and ethos are central to the requirements of the service, and ensure that your actions as a leader, and officers working with you, demonstrate these. Lead projects to achieve high performance and effective asset management delivery. Work with groups consisting of engineers, surveyors, quantity surveyors, housing managers, finance staff and consultants. Provide advice for the Council to make informed investment and divestment decisions by researching the economic value of the assets. Provide advice on option appraisal information and wider considerations on redevelopment opportunities, disposal, enhancement and change of use against every home in the portfolio. Support financial planning, budget setting and budget optimisation and propose programmes of work including 30 year plans for capital and revenue expenditure. Provide a comprehensive suite of policies, processes and procedures that are current and reflect all relevant demographics and statutory and regulatory requirements and best practice to support and manage this process. Develop, manage and report on all assets, stock condition, business planning, capital bidding, energy performance and compliance information to ensure short, medium and long term stock investment decisions are based on comprehensive and accurate information whilst ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements The client is looking to move quickly with appointing to this role and as such are offering £24 p/hr Umbrella Ltd - £26 p/hr Umbrella Ltd for the duration on the position.
