Financial Analyst London Permanent £45,000 - £65,000 Our client a well-known insurance company based in London, are actively seeking a Financial Analyst to carry out credit analysis on a portfolio of reinsurers operating in the CIS, Middle Eastern, African and UK markets. They are looking for a vibrant and hard-working individual who has previous experience conducting financial analysis ideally within industry, financial services sector or a financial services consultancy firm. Responsibilities of the Financial Analyst will include: Contributing to external presentations,seminars and the writing and research of external specialist reports commenting on key market issues and trends. Presenting analysis at rating committee, participate in rating committees of other analysts, and contribute to internal discussions regarding the state of the reinsurance markets and rating issues. Taking responsibility for timely and high-quality credit assessments on a portfolio of reinsurers, as well as producing accurate and informative publications to support the credit decision. Conducting on-going surveillance of assigned portfolios and develop industry knowledge, including the identification of key trends and issues that may affect the assigned portfolio of reinsurers. Regular interaction with senior management of reinsurers and requirement to attend company meetings, with support from more senior colleagues, to obtain relevant information to support the credit assessment The successful Financial Analyst will have: Developed knowledge of the insurance market and principles of finance and accounting. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English Bachelor degree is a minimum entry requirement, ideally in maths, economics, finance, business or accountancy Experience of developing and managing professional relationships with external stakeholders Solid experience of conducting financial analysis, ideally within the insurance industry
