Our client is a leading Wealth Management business, seeking a Trainee Financial Accountant.Supporting the Financial Controller in the preparation of management accounts, regulatory returns and Board Reports. This is a key role impacting a number of different teams within Finance, such as Actuarial Reporting and Treasury and the Investment Operations team. Key Job
Responsibilities:
Taking responsibility for processing all accounting information received monthly from third party administrators, which forms the basis of the management accounts. Evidencing accuracy of the monthly processing through the completion of controls packs. Ensuring process notes are detailed, easy to follow and up-to-date for all key processes. Being the first point of contact between the Finance team and third party administrators, Ensuring all information required for preparing key deliverables is received from third party administrators and different teams within on a timely basis Taking responsibility for the preparation of quarterly regulatory returns and Office of National Statistics returns Assisting the Financial Controller with preparing the Annual Report and Accounts Supporting the Financial Controller with the resolution of issues as they arise. Completing financial due diligence reviews of third parties engaged by the wider Group to ensure they are financially sound. As a reliable, pragmatic Trainee you'll have some sound accountancy knowledge and some basic interpretation of financial information. You will be Level 3 AAT qualified. You'll need to convey clear and concise communication skills, both verbally and in writing as well as demonstrating a confident manner which, will all aid a good working relationship with the other teams. You'll need to be self-motived, curious and eager grow knowledge about products and how they align with the wider Group structure. Whether working autonomously or as part of a team, good time management is key and the ability to follow a process whilst remaining calm under time pressure. Experience of using Microsoft Excel is a MUST. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is keen to progress to a full accountancy qualification following completion of AAT.
