A growing business based in Burton-on-Trent are seeking a Finance Assistant with a strong background in the social care industry to join their friendly team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, your duties will include:
• Assist in all daily financial duties in order to support the continued development of the business's in-house finance function
• Support in all aspects of the finance and transaction processing of the onboarding/acquisition of new sites
• Raising sales invoices to accounts system
• Allocation of payments and receipts
• Credit control, effectively chasing outstanding debts
• Matching and coding invoices
• Resolving queries in a timely manner
• Statement reconciliations
• Bank and petty cash reconciliations
• Assisting in month-end and year-end reporting
• Maintaining effective supplier relationships To be considered for this position, you will be AAT qualified or working towards an accounting qualification. You will also have a strong background and understanding of bookkeeping. The ideal candidate will have worked in the social care industry and will possess experience in acquisitions of new businesses/sites In return, the company are offering a salary of £24,000 to £28,000 per annum dependent on experience and 25 days holiday plus statutory. This role also involves some travel to other sites in the UK.
